Everyone knows that lying can make things much worse. But what if a lie consumes someone with power and it grows bigger and bigger?
A new gripping drama at the Play Ground theatre in Duluth called, "Children's Hour," explores that theme. Kathy Laakso and Kier Zimmerman stopped by Good Morning Northland Tuesday to talk about the new production.
Zimmerman plays Mary Tillford, a girl at an all girl school in the 1930's who has always gotten what she wants. Zimmerman said Mary even lied to get her way. But that lie begins to spin out of control.
Laakso said "Children's Hour" is not just about a lie. She said it is also about others who just accept the lie.
"Children's Hour," opens on Thursday and runs through March 10. Performances take place Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
