"We're going to need everyone to believe."
For a ceremony that celebrates movies, the commercials during Sunday's Oscar telecast seemed more interested in selling Samsung phones than movie tickets. However, Disney did debut a new trailer for Oz The Great and Powerful, the upcoming quasi-prequel to 1939's The Wizard of Oz.
Based on L. Frank Baum's Land of Oz books, Oz The Great and Powerful follows a struggling magician named Oscar Diggs (James Franco), who is mysteriously transported (three guesses as to how) to the enchanted land of Oz. There, he meets three witches: Theodora (Mila Kunis), Glinda (Michelle Williams) and Evanora (Rachel Weisz), the latter of which seems to be far from a "good" witch in the latest trailer.
