Duluth, Minn. - A first for the women's basketball program at St. Scholastica and that is their first NCAA Division Three National Tournament appearance.
The UMAC Champions have left Duluth enroute to Iowa. There, the Saints will face Cornell College. The Rams are ranked 12th and have only lost once.
"We put it together at the end of the season when we were hoping we would and had some up and downs, so getting into the tournament was our goal and being the fourth seed, there is a lot of pressure on everyone else and we were able to put together two back-to-back games that I was really proud of and we are just excited about the opportunity to keep going," says Head Coach Stacy Deadrick.
"We have to limit our turnovers, because that is something that has been a factor in some of our losses and we just have to play together as a team," says Junior Erin Frase.
Tip off time is set for Friday night at 7:00 pm in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
