What if zombies had invaded the Globe Theatre in London during the opening of Shakespeare's classic, "Henry V" back in 1599?
That is the scenario of the new play put on by the Renegade Theater Company. It is called "Shakespeare's Land of the Dead" and it opens Thursday at 8 p.m. at Teatro Zuccone.
Renegade's director of development, Andy Bennett stopped by Good Morning Northland Tuesday to talk about the production. He said it was originally performed during the 2008 Minnesota Fringe Festival.
Bennett said "Land of the Dead," is a comedy. But the theater troupe does not skimp on the blood and gore of the classic zombie genre. He said some zombies will even be in the audience.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students. "Shakespeare's Land of the Dead," runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. until April 6.
