If you have always been a bridesmaid, an annual event gives new life to those dresses sitting in the closet.

Becky Holst from Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare stopped by Good Morning Northland Tuesday with her own gown to talk about the Bridesmaids Ball happening Friday.

This is the 5th year of the event. All of the proceeds will benefit Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, which has a clinic in Duluth. Holst said that means proceeds go to help children in the area and enables the organization to provide the care the kids need.

The Bridesmaids Ball goes from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday. It is being held at the Moorish Room at the Greysolon Plaza in Duluth.

Tickets are $20 dollars and can be purchased at the door. Or stop by Midwest Communications to buy them in advance. That is located inside the Tech Village, Suite 380.
