The ongoing saga over the "Last Place on Earth" store in downtown Duluth continues today with the store reopening for the second time this week.
The store, known for its sales of synthetic drugs, had closed after a Duluth Police raid last Friday in which owner Jim Carlson and his son, Joseph Gellerman, were arrested on charges of selling controlled substances.
The store reopened on Tuesday evening after Carlson was released on bail but closed again Wednesday evening when Carlson was arrested for allegedly possessing a firearm.
Gellerman reopened the store this morning and said it would continue to be open with regular business hours. The store has been ordered to pay for two police officers to be on duty outside the store while it is open.
Carlson will remain in jail until at least Monday, when he will appear in federal court in Minneapolis.
