EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - A Minnesota man coming in for questioning about a missing woman has shot himself in the police parking lot.
Eden Prairie police got a call Thursday morning after 24-year-old Mandy Marie Matula of Eden Prairie failed to show up for work.
Police believe Matula was at Miller Park in Eden Prairie around 1:30 a.m. Thursday with 24-year-old David Marshall Roe of Victoria. Roe agreed to speak with an investigator, but police say he shot himself in his vehicle in the police parking lot.
Roe was taken to HCMC. His condition was not immediately available.
Matula remains missing. Police are asking anyone who knows her whereabouts or saw Matula and Roe together in a 2013 black Ford Escape with Minnesota license plate 802-KNA to call Eden Prairie police at 952-949-6200.

Matula attended UMD from 2007-2011 and played on the UMD Bulldog softball team as an outfielder and a pitcher.
