Watching the Falcon Cam

Bird-lovers from around the world can watch as peregrine falcons at Minnesota Power’s Boswell Energy Center prepare for chicks to hatch. Four eggs have been spotted at the Boswell nesting box via Falcon Cam, Minnesota Power’s camera that shows continuously updated live images of the nesting box as well as a 24-hour view of its occupants.

Both nesting boxes are managed in partnership with the Raptor Resource Project in Decorah, Iowa.

It’s expected the eggs will hatch in late May; banding is usually done several weeks after the chicks hatch and before they can fly.
