GROSSE POINTE, Mich. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says a freighter has run aground in Lake St. Clair.
Lt. Justin Westmiller says the ship became grounded Tuesday evening a little over a mile offshore from the Detroit suburb of Grosse Pointe.
No injuries are reported.
The Times Herald of Port Huron reports that the freighter isn't blocking any lake traffic while it waits for a tugboat.
The Coast Guard says the grounding is under investigation.
