Maps Released in Search for Former UMD Softball Player

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Eden Prairie police have released maps of land to be searched in the disappearance of a 24-year-old woman.

Investigators are focused on property in Carver, Wright, Stearns, Sherburne and Benton counties. KARE-TV reports (http://kare11.tv/10sDKkG ) police are asking residents within the targeted areas to search their property and neighborhoods, which includes a path running along Interstate 94 from Monticello and Big Lake to north of Sartell.

Mandy Matula has not been seen since May 1. Police say her blood was found on a jacket in the vehicle of her boyfriend, David Roe. He shot himself in the parking lot of the Eden Prairie police station and died the next day.
