ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman says an area of the park where two children were killed by a rockslide is closed indefinitely.
Coleman said at a news conference Thursday that "our hearts, our minds, our prayers and our thoughts go out to the families" of the victims.
Assistant Fire Chief Jim Smith found the second body at Lilydale Regional Park along the Mississippi River late Thursday morning.
According to our sister station KSTP, the boy was identified by his uncle as Mohamed Fofana.
Two other students were injured. One has been released from Regions Hospital in St. Paul. The other remains in serious condition.
Rain-saturated soil gave way Wednesday afternoon as fourth-graders from a St. Louis Park elementary school walked along a path.
They were on a fossil-hunting field trip.
