The City of Duluth is looking to get a lot greener, and they're asking residents to help out.
Duluth's Re-Leaf program is committed to planting more urban trees around town. Any resident who owns a boulevard, which is a strip of grass between the yard and the sidewalk, may be eligible for the program. Landowners will have an option to buy low-cost, $25 trees. The City Forestry Crew will even help plant them. The City also provides mulch and tree stakes, but homeowners have to water the trees for the first two years after they're planted.
