A man was shot in the hand Saturday night in Duluth, and police are still looking for a suspect.
Police said they responded to the 400 block of North 27th Avenue West at about 10:45 p.m. Officials said they found a 21-year-old man inside a home with a minor gunshot wound to his hand.
He was not transported to the hospital, and police said the wound was not self inflicted.
The suspect was gone before police arrived. Two shots were fired, according to police.
Audrey Sutherland, who lives in the neighborhood, said she heard two gunshots from her house.
"It was about 10:45 and I heard two bang bangs," she said. "I thought they were firecrackers and then I saw the red lights."
Sutherland said she and her husband are moving away because they feel the neighborhood has gotten so bad.
"I never feel safe," she said. "Our house is continuously locked up all the time, we don't go out much anymore to enjoy the weather."
Police are following up on leads on the shooting, but no one is in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call the Duluth Police Department.
