BAGHDAD (AP) - An attack by two suicide bombers on a Shiite mosque in Baghdad has left 26 people dead.
Iraqi officials say one bomber struck at a nearby checkpoint, while the other slipped inside the mosque during prayers. In addition to those killed, officials say more than 50 were wounded. Most of the casualties were among students from a nearby university for Islamic studies.
The coordinated bombings are the latest in a string of attacks to hit Iraq. The attacks are reviving fears that the country is headed back toward widespread sectarian bloodshed.
