A gathering Thursday in Superior commemorated the flood of 2012, but it wasn't enough to just remember.
Members of the Superior and Douglas County Long-Term Recovery Committees are still helping people with the effects of the flood. Brenda Kohel is a disaster services case manager working through Lutheran Social Services. She said the event was aimed at aiding flood victims who still need help.
"We're here to see if there are people that are still needing assistance, and to give people information that they may need going forward," she said.
Kohel said many flood victims are still in the process of rebuilding, painting, and redoing floors and furnaces.
Anyone in need of further assistance with flood damage can call Northwest Community Services Agency at 715-392-5127.
