RIVER FALLS, Wis. (AP) - Motorcyclists in western Wisconsin are planning a 100-mile ride to raise money for a playground to honor three sisters who were killed by their father.
A jury found 35-year-old Aaron Schaffhausen was sane when he killed 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie and 5-year-old Cecilia last July in the girls' River Falls home.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the "River Falls Cruisin for a Cause" motorcycle run will start in River Falls on July 20 and stop at several venues in western Wisconsin.
The ride ends with a poker game at Johnnie's Bar in River Falls. The event costs $10 for a bike and rider, $5 per passenger and $5 for each poker hand. Proceeds will go to the Schaffhausen Memorial Fund, toward a new playground to honor the girls.
