Two skydivers are safe after landing in Lake Superior Saturday afternoon. They were suppose to land on Park Point.

Rescuers received the call at about 4:20 p.m. near the Park Point Beach House. Officials said one skydiver was about 200 yards from shore and the other was further out. Both made it to shore uninjured.

The 29-year-old male and 33-year-old female were skydiving with Skydive Superior. Officials said they were suppose to land on Park Point, but jumped from the plane too early.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office along with the Duluth Fire Department, Coast Guard and St. Louis County Rescue Squad responded to the water emergency.
