Former Restaurant Owner Sentenced for Sexual Assault

A judge has sentenced a former Iron Range restaurant owner for sexual assault.

Anthony Curtis received credit for 308 days he's already served in jail. He'll now be on  supervised probation for seven years and be required to register as a sex offender.

Curtis was convicted of assaulting a woman in her Mt. Iron apartment last year. The two had known each other.

Curtis is the former owner of the Whistling Bird Café in Gilbert.
