The "Chalk-a-Lot" Art Festival takes place on the sidewalks along waterfront drive at Thomas Owens Park in Two Harbors over the weekend. Hosted by the Waterfront Gallery, this is the second year chalk artists have taken over for this colorful festival.
"It's a time of no pressure," said organizer Michelle Ronning. "It's just experiencing art, not having to have any big rules attached to it."
Ronning said about 60 sidewalk spaces were assigned, and the free areas filled up fast. Hundreds of people also came just to watch. The festival runs through Sunday at 1 p.m.
