Lane closures and detours on Interstate 35 are set to change Thursday.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, those closures and detours are between Scanlon and Boundary Avenue in Duluth.
Drivers will be restricted to a single lane in each direction on the northbound lanes while the southbound lanes are redone.
Mn/DOT says between Thursday and Friday, traffic will be switched to the newly-constructed northbound lanes and will remain in that configuration until the project is finished in mid-October.
Mn/DOT says all ramps at the County Road 61 and Midway Road interchanges will be open to traffic except:
Detour signing will be provided for the closed ramps.
Mn/DOT says all businesses will be able to be accessed during the project using marked detour routes. When the resurfacing and drainage repair project is finished, motorists will experience a smoother, safer ride.
