Authorities have confirmed they have found the body of Jacob Charles Marion in the Mississippi River located in Northwest Grand Rapids.
The body was pulled from the river on Thursday. On Friday, Grand Rapids Police Chief Jim Denny confirmed that the body was, in fact, Marion. A statewide alert had been issued on Wednesday for the missing Grand Rapids man.
Jacob Charles Marion, 36, left his home on 2nd Street Northwest on Tuesday evening and did not return home. The Itasca County Sheriff's Office says Marion had health issues that required medication, but did not have the medication or his wallet with him.
The cause of death is still undetermined and is currently under investigation.
