Duluth, Minn. - What is 12 feet tall, 22 feet wide and has the ability to show you something that just happened? The new addition to Malosky Stadium.
A new LED video board is now in the spot where the UMD Football National Title years were displayed. Those will soon be displayed on new signs under the press box. The video board was up-and-running on Wednesday as the football team practiced. The board cost a quarter of a million dollars, funded through an anonymous donor. It will debut on September 5th for the women's soccer season opener with Northern Michigan and then, at the football opener with Sioux Falls on the 7th.
"We will be able to fully function motion graphics, still images and we will have a production room capable of doing full replays of plays during the game and fans will be able to get an updated and improved game day experience," says Marketing Coordinator for UMD Athletics Brian Nystrom.
