ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Dozens of employees in the Twin Cities are among about 2,300 workers being laid off by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
The lender says it's reducing staff because a recent bump in interest rates has slowed consumer demand for refinancing. In the Twin Cities, 161 employees will lose their jobs.
Minnesota Public Radio News says Wells Fargo employs about 20,000 people in Minnesota.
