The Minnesota State Patrol is reminding drivers to move over this weekend.
Saturday, law enforcement is cracking down on the move over law, which requires cars to move a full lane over when they pass an emergency vehicle on the side of the road with its lights flashing. If you can't safely move over a lane, you're required to at least slow down.
The law was enacted in memory of a state trooper who was making a traffic stop in Winona when he was hit and killed by a passing vehicle.
