The bear hunting season opened Sunday in Minnesota. Eyewitness News headed into the woods with a guide and 15-year-old hunter who bagged her first bear.

Lilly Schulte shot this 200 pound black bear in the woods by Bruno. Hangin Out On A Limb Outfitters Guide Scotty Taylor had been baiting the bear for days. Taylor called him bow tie because of the marking on its chest.

Schulte took the shot at about 7 p.m. Sunday. She's renamed the bear Vector because the bear's marking looks like a "V". She also said Vector is a character in the movie Despicable Me.
