The body of a 69-year-old Wisconsin man has been recovered following a drowning on Lake Namakagon Friday, according Bayfield County authorities.
The Bayfield County Sheriff's Office said the body of Gerald Buss, of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, was recovered in about ten feet of water at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.
According to authorities, Buss and a friend were fishing from a boat when he fell into the lake on Friday. They said a seat cushion was thrown to him but he wasn't able to keep a grip on it.
Buss was not wearing a personal floatation device, authorities said.
The Bayfield County Coroner has determined Buss's death to be an accidental cold water drowning.
