A new Masters Program is coming to the University of Minnesota Duluth campus that may also bring more mental health professionals to the Northland.
Starting next fall, UMD will be offering a Masters of Psychological Science Program. Associate Professor in Psychology, Kathy Dowell says this is a unique program for our area.
"I generally heard in the community that we need more because there are waiting lists," Dowell, said. "People can't get access to mental health professionals." Dowell says this program will help with the need of more Master-level Mental Health professionals in the workforce.
The new Masters program will have three tracks: Clinical Counseling, Industrial Organizational and General Experimental.
Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2014.
