Duluth, Minn. - It is opening weekend and for hunters heading out during the rifle deer season in Minnesota, there has been a change this year when it comes to registering harvested deer.
"The only major regulation change this year is that you have to register your deer within 48 hours of shooting the deer and it used to be that you had within 24 hours after the season to do it, but from what I understand, it is a numbers thing and they can get the numbers quicker if they get the registrations in faster, so that change was made this last year," says Brad Trevena of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association.
