Essentia Health says they've reached a tentative agreement with the MNA nurses at Essentia Health-Virginia.
Contract negotiations began in August. Nurses told us last month they were frustrated at the pace of the talks, and they were concerned with what they saw as increases to out-of-pocket health care costs.
Essentia Health spokeswoman Kim Kaiser told us then that they were "offering an opportunity to be on health plans currently in use by some 3,000 other Essentia Health employees."
But, in a statement today, Kaiser said: "We were able to find common ground on issues such as health insurance and wages, and we came to an agreement that's beneficial for both parties. We appreciate the quality care our nurses provide at Essentia Health-Virginia."
The tentative agreement must still be ratified by the nurse's union.
