Duluth, Minn. - Beside UMD, another women's team is calling AMSOIL Arena home for two weeks and that is the Russian Women's Olympic Team.

Russia will host the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. UMD Head Coach Shannon Miller is mentoring the Russian team through the International Ice Hockey Federation. Miller helped secure Duluth to be Russia's home base from November 20th until December 2nd.

The Bulldogs will play two exhibition games against Russia (November 26th and December 2nd).

"This opportunity for them is to get into North America and travel and play good teams and take a look at what we do and take a look at what they do and just tweak their game to make it the best that it can be and so, it is going to help our game to play two exhibition games, but it is really about the Russian team getting better," says Miller.
