Out of the Chill

It's another cold start to the day as temps have dropped below zero. Thankfully, winds are light this morning, so the wind chill won't be too bad. We'll begin with some hazy sunshine with clouds thickening through the day. The lake effect snow is done for now, and we probably won't see it return until at least Monday.

Today marks the beginning of a warming trend that will take temperatures back near or above the freezing mark this weekend. However, this surge in warmth may spark spotty freezing drizzle tonight. That could generate a few slick spots during the first few hours of Saturday.

We're looking at an abundance of low hanging clouds this weekend. By Sunday, a stronger system will develop to our southwest bringing a slight chance for a wintry mix. Some snow is possible Monday, but it's unclear how much at this time. It does appear to be quite windy with those chilly temps returning early next week.

Enjoy the thaw!
