On Tuesday, those of Slovenian heritage, and those without will all be delighted by a group currently on their first tour of the US...Navihanke! Frank Bucar, the director of the Singing Slovenes, dropped by the show to gives us the scoop.

This group is from Slovenia, and came to Duluth with the help of the Singing Slovenes, along with a cultural grant from KSKJ Life. Definitely check out the video of our interview for a sneak peek at what's in store when Navihanke performs.

The Singing Slovenes wear the traditional costume of one region of Slovenia, while Navihanke dresses more modern. "We're going to mix the old, with the new," Frank Bucar tells us. While the Singing Slovenes play traditional music, "Navihanke, [has] new compositions...it's something new, really great," Frank continues.

Brittany thinks that, "it's music that you want to get up, out of your seat!" She'll be at the concert as the guest MC.

The show will be held on Tuesday, April 29th at 7:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Park Middle School in Duluth. For more information about the Duluth show, call (209) 955-2452.
