Lake County's new high-speed broadband network has settled a dispute with its competitor.
Lake Connections had filed a complaint against Frontier Connections with the Federal Communications Commission last fall, alleging that Frontier was imposing an unfair requirement on where its fiber optic lines could be placed on Frontier poles. Lake Connections said the requirement was causing delays and could lead to spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to restring cable.
The FCC dismissed the complaint Wednesday after the two sides said they'd reached a settlement. Terms were not disclosed in the FCC order.
