Some Kodak employees will be receiving pink slips Tuesday.
A Kodak spokesperson said a significant percentage of the people being impacted in the remaining 1,200 positions are being notified today.
Overall, Kodak says as it becomes more focused and competitive, they have had to reduce the workforce by 3,900 positions in 2012. Of those positions, 2,700 had been eliminated by the end of September.
In a statement to News10NBC, the company says although these notices are companywide, a significant portion of the impact is in Rochester.
Brighton Securities President George Conboy says Kodak's inkjet operations at Canal Ponds was shut down Tuesday and we can expect to see 100 jobs gone today, if not more.
