She will be remembered as a loving, compassionate, caring mother who could always put a smile on your face.
Funeral services for Lorraine Qutermous are being held Friday afternoon in Jordan, New York.
Authorities believe the 52-year-old Castile woman died in a fire last week in Wyoming County.
The historic landmark on North Main Street had to be demolished. Qutermous lived in an apartment in the building that also housed the town and village offices. She owned a restaurant there as well called Lorraine's Place.
The Medical Examiner's office tentatively identified the body as Qutermous but is still waiting for some tests to confirm the ID with law enforcement.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Wyoming County Sheriff told News10NBC we could get an update by next week.
