There are two new ads in the race for the 25th Congressional District.
Thursday, Maggie Brooks’ campaign released what they call a fact-based ad highlighting Louise Slaughter’s record of hiking taxes on small businesses.
“The middle class is struggling, but not entrenched Washington insider Louise Slaughter,” said Brooks for Congress Campaign Manager Noah Lebowitz. “She’s voted herself pay raises, she’s travelled the world on the taxpayer dime, and after spending twenty-six years in Washington, she’s now a multimillionaire. Worse, she’s done it all while hiking taxes on small businesses, killing jobs. Now that Louise Slaughter is clearly only looking out for herself, she’s just not for us anymore.”

Slaughter's campaign manager Eric Walker said, "After Louise has been endorsed by President Clinton, the Democrat & Chronicle, City Paper and the New York Times, all Maggie has left are ads where she puts people in binders like her friend Mitt Romney. It doesn't matter how many negative attack ads Maggie Brooks and her extreme allies make, Louise Slaughter will always be a tough fighter for the middle class."
