Members of Rochester-area law enforcement were invited to be honored at this year's "Blue Mass" on Sunday morning.

The mass, which was located at Sacred Heart Cathedral, is held every year as a way to recognize the work of local law enforcement. It's a chance for the community to pray for safety of the officers and deputies.

"We really want to put the focus and the appreciation on them for their service to our community," says Father Kevin McKenna. "They're a great and wonderful help to us in our area and neighborhood."

Reverend Matthew Clark, the Bishop Emeritus of the Rochester Diocese, presided over the ceremony that featured bagpipes and the Honor Guard.
