Artists often make sculptures out of usual materials like butter, sand, and soap. But have you ever heard of artist making sculptures out of canned food? If you go down to the Bausch and Lomb Wintergarden in Rochester sometime over the next couple of weeks that's exactly what you'll be able to see.
The 7th Annual Canstruction fundraiser for Foodlink started building on Saturday. This year's theme is games, and architects were making sculptures based off games like Monopoly, Spacer Invaders and Life. Last year's competition was made up of more than 40,000 pounds of food.
All of the cans used to make these sculptures will be donated to Foodlink after the event ends. The displays will be available to the public starting on Monday and will run until November 16th.
