Rochester man charged with criminal possession of a weapon

A 31-year-old Rochester man is facing charges after police say he was in possession of stolen property.

Greece Police tell News10NBC an officer was on routine patrol early Sunday morning when he saw a suspicious man near Woodland Drive and Dewey Avenue. Police say the man, Dennis Garzone, was in possession of a .32 caliber loaded handgun and credit cards that had been stolen from a car parked on Dewey Avenue.

Garzone is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.

Garzone was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
