The body of a Corning soldier killed in Afghanistan is coming home next week. News10NBC has learned that 22-year-old Army Specialist Ryan Jayne's body will arrive at Elmira/Corning Airport at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Calling hours for Jayne are Wednesday from 4 p.m. To 8 a.m. at Corning East High School. Following the calling hours will be a military service at the football field.
Jayne was killed by a roadside bomb earlier this month while working as a combat engineer. His family says he just returned to Afghanistan last Monday after a 10-day leave.
