A Rochester man is dead after a stabbing on the city's southwest side early Sunday morning.
Rochester Police were called to the scene on Sawyer Street just after 1:30 a.m. When they arrived they found 35-year-old Montreall M. Wright with a serious life-threatening wound to the upper torso. The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he died of his injuries a short time later.
Police say they now have a suspect in custody. 26-year-old Tanisha M. Davis has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the stabbing. Officers say that Davis and Wright knew each other.
