News10NBC continues to track the latest regarding a plan to build an apartment complex in the village of Pittsford.
The village board held another meeting to discuss the project. The trustees did not vote on the developer's request for a special permit, but they plan to schedule another meeting to do so.
The plan calls for a 165 unit complex to be built on seven acres of land at 75 Monroe Avenue. The village trustees say they could not grant an approval based on preliminary designs.
They want to make sure it will fit in with the appearance of the other buildings on the canal and in the village.
The developer says the plan is a win win, because it takes a disadvantaged piece of property and turns it into something the village can be proud of.
