Facebook could add new audio alert feature

Facebook is considering adding a new audio feature to its website.
 
The social network is testing out a new sound alert system that makes a "ding dong" noise every time someone writes on your timeline, sends you a message or invites you to an event.
 
The new sound alert, if implemented, can be controlled with a users account setting.
 
Facebook is also working on revamping the way people reply to comments on timeline posts.
