A Rochester woman has been arrested and charged for two separate fires that happened at apartment buildings on Manor Parkway in the city of Rochester.

Marcia Mitchell, 32, of Rochester, is charged with two counts of arson and two counts of assault.

The Rochester Arson Task Force say Mitchell intentionally set fire to the basement of an apartment building at 104 Manor Parkway  just before 10:00pm on New Years Day. Firefighters say Mitchell lived in the apartment building. The building suffered heavy fire damage, displacing multiple residents. No one was injured.

On October 25, firefighters responded to 106 Manor Parkway to find heavy smoke in a fire floor apartment unit. Firefighters say the apartment belonged to Mitchell and that she intentionally set the fire. The building suffered heavy fire damage and displaced multiple residents. Two residents from the building were taken to the hospital for injuries sustained as a result of the fire.

Mitchell is currently in the Monroe County Jail awaiting her arraignment.
