RIT's Big Shot community photography project is heading to Texas next year. They will be capturing a nighttime photograph of Cowboys Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, in Arlington, Texas on Saturday March 23.

It takes hundreds of volunteers, dressed in black, holding flashlights, to light up whatever is being photographed. This year, residents in Arlington, along with RIT students, faculty, staff and alumni are expected to come out illuminate Cowboys Stadium. Cowboys Stadium will be RIT’s 28th Big Shot.

The project started in 1987. Last year, RIT illuminated the Seabreeze Amusement Park. Before that was the Strong National Museum of Play. RIT has also illuminated several landmarks including The Alamo, the U.S.S. Intrepid and the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden.
