Parent teacher organization treasurer charged with grand larceny

The treasurer of the parent teacher organization in Ontario County is facing charges after sheriff's deputies say she stole more than $50,000 from the accounts that she had access to.

Tracy L. Brooks, 44, of Canandaigua is charged with grand larceny. She was the treasurer of the Gorham-Middlesex Parent Teacher Organization from 2007 to September 2012.

After financial irregularities with the organization, Sheriff's Deputies investigated and found that Brooks took more than $50,000 from the accounts that she had access to.

Brooks was arrested and sent to the Ontario County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. She is due back in Gorham Town Court at a later date.
