A 24-year-old Rochester woman is facing charges after police say she was drunk and driving more than 100 miles per hour.

State Police say two troopers en route to the Penfield station on Saturday saw a vehicle move from its lane unsafely as it traveled from 490 to Route 441 in Brighton. According to police, the vehicle reached a top speed of 102 miles per hour.

When troopers stopped the vehicle, they said they could smell a strong odor of alcohol and the driver, Darcie Tronolone, had slurred, mumbled speech and bloodshot eyes. When police asked her to step out of the vehicle to perform field sobriety tests, they say she refused.

Tronolone is charged with DWI and governmental obstruction. She is due in Penfield Town Court in December to answer to the charges.
