A Hamlin man pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to possessing child pornography.
The Assistant U.S. Attorney, who is handling the case, says Jason Nettnin, 20, of Hamlin had images and videos of child pornography on his home computer in September 2011. Some of the images included prepubescent children and depictions of violence.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
Nettin will be sentenced on February 1. He faces up to 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000 or both.
