It's the time of year that many look forward to, when we can have a good meal and spend time with our families.

For those who have nowhere else to go on Thanksgiving, places like the Open Door Mission are there to help. The mission provides turkey dinner and the company of others, but also helps with things like clothing, hygiene needs and even furniture. For some, there truly would be no Thanksgiving without the Open Door Mission.

"A lot of people don't have a place to go, so they can come down here and get a hot meal," says Sean Tyler, who ate the mission. "Listen to the word of God and listen to some great singing. So I'm thankful that God blessed me for a place to the Open Door Mission to be Rochester because it's a good thing and it does a lot of good in the community."

The Open Door Mission relies on donations from the community to continue its program. If you would like to help, you can get more information at their website by clicking here to find out how.
