A haircut had a lot meaning at a local salon on Sunday and helped support a good cause.
Encore Salon at Southtown Plaza in Henrietta held a "Cut-a-Thon" to raise money for Golisano Children's Hospital. The money is also going to help the sister of stylist Tiffany Gianforte. Gianforte's sister is currently in the intensive care unit at Strong. Her family says they really appreciate the generosity of the people that came in Sunday.
"It's great to see the community come together like this," says Gianforte. "It's a wonderful thing, especially during the holiday times. Everybody take a little time out of their busy schedule to come in and take a little time to share."
A few years ago Encore Salon did a similar "Cut-a-Thon" and raised one thousand dollars. They are hoping they can do the same on Sunday.
